In 2004 the Storytelling Project held a Storytelling Festival in Stornoway. It was a good festival with over 200 sailors telling stories.
This year the Storytelling Project are putting together a festival in the Lanntair and Town Hall in Stornoway where sailors, nurses and others will get a chance to tell their stories.
On top of this there will be walks in the Castle Grounds for schools in the morning and afternoon on Thursday and Friday.
Every night there will be a Ceilidh with stories and a band, with artists from Ireland, Shetland, Sutherland and the Western Isles.
Also this week An Comunn Gaidhealach are holding Seo Seinn, singing competition to encourage new song writing.
It will be a big week for Gaelic in Stornoway.
